Welcome!

Hi! I’m Kayli Battel, a research assistant with Toyota Research Institute through HireArt. I graduated with my Master’s degree in Human Factors Engineering from the Tufts University School of Engineering in 2025 and my undergraduate degree in Human Factors Engineering with a minor in Engineering Education from Tufts in 2024.

In addition to the work I do in pushing the state of vehicle human factors forward, my personal research explores human factors heuristics and dashboard design for semi-autonomous vehicles. I am also deeply passionate about making STEM education engaging and accessible for children to inspire the next generation of innovators.

When I’m not working or studying, you can find me playing volleyball, rock climbing, painting, fostering animals, traveling, playing DND, or watching movies.
